Those routes include flights from Xi'an, Shaanxi province, to Osaka in Japan; from Chengdu, Sichuan province, and Shenzhen, Guangdong province, to Siem Reap in Cambodia; and from Guangzhou in Guangdong to Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia.
It said a great number of businesses in Indonesia, Cambodia and Mauritius will launch the service in the next few months, and it has already been launched in Singapore and Vietnam, as well as China's Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
"The Belt and Road Initiative and cooperation in the Lancang-Mekong Subregion is expected to bridge the infrastructure gap and thus accelerate economic growth," said Kun Nhem, director of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia.
Since 2014, Cambodia has seized several ivory tusks with the help of the Nuctech's technology.
China's Xiamen Airlines has launched direct flights between Southeast China's Xiamen city and Cambodia's Phnom Penh capital city with the aim of further enhancing bilateral tourism and economic ties, officials said on Monday.
"The launching of this new route will actively promote the cooperation policy between China and Cambodia and lay a solid foundation for the tourism industry in Cambodia to attract two million Chinese tourists by 2020," he said during an event celebrating the inaugural Xiamen-Phnom Penh flight.
Zheng Congming, general manager of passenger marketing and sales committee of Xiamen Airlines, said, "We hope that with the opening of this new route, more Chinese tourists will come to Cambodia, and at the same time, more Cambodian travelers will visit Xiamen, a scenic city of Fujian province.
"China is the biggest source of tourists to Cambodia.
PHNOM PENH — China's Alipay, the world's largest online and mobile payment platform, signed a partnership agreement on Wednesday with Cambodia's Pi Pay, allowing customers to use their Alipay wallets to pay at Pi Pay's Point of Sale payment systems across Cambodia.
The partnership will see Alipay become immediately available as a payment option for Chinese tourists across Pi Pay's merchant network in Cambodia, which consists of over 1,400 businesses, including high-end dinning, haute couture fashion, spa treatment, mini-marts and petrol stations, said a joint statement released at the signing ceremony here.
"With the partnership, Chinese tourists travelling to Cambodia will be able to use the Alipay app for payments wherever Pi Pay QR codes are available," it said.
"With Cambodia being a popular destination among Chinese travelers, we are excited to work with Pi Pay as our acquiring partner to benefit our users and at the same time, to provide an effective platform for local businesses in Cambodia to reach Chinese consumers," she said.
"Together with Pi Pay, we will be able to provide Alipay users the same convenience they enjoy back home when they travel in Cambodia.
"China is the largest source of tourists to Cambodia.
According to a Cambodian tourism data, nearly 950,000 Chinese tourists had visited Cambodia in the first 10 months of 2017, up 45 percent over the same period last year.
It is expected that about two million Chinese tourists will see Cambodia in 2020.
"The partnership will allow Alipay customers to pay for goods and services in Cambodia through Pi Pay terminals," he said.
"We're confident that it will add an additional boost to Cambodia's vibrant tourism industry. "

STUNG TRENG, Cambodia — The 400-megawatt Lower Sesan II Hydropower Plant, which is Cambodia's biggest hydropower dam so far, will start operation in November after almost four years of construction.
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Xiong Bo presided over a ceremony to close the dam's water gates on Monday.
