"With the increasingly close economic and trade exchanges between Saudi Arabia and China, we are looking forward to conducting in-depth exchanges with more Chinese companies, as well as reinforcing cooperation in emerging fields such as 5G, artificial intelligence, big data, biotechnology, financial technology and automation," said Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Alajlan, ABHG's deputy chairman.
The delegation consists of more than 30 foreign trade enterprise representatives and relevant government staff members who will carry out a series of activities, including commodity trade, international logistics, biotechnology, food processing and digital economy mainly in Primorsky Krai.
Zhejiang Shangfang Biotechnology Co Ltd participated in related exhibitions held in Paris during the trip, and negotiated an order of about 30 million yuan ($4.34 million).
Projects ranged from advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, new generation information technology and food to health care, reflecting domestic and overseas investors' confidence for development of the Greater Bay Area.
And their joint efforts have borne fruit in fields of multiple industries, from material development and research, biotechnology, construction, and manufacturing, to wholesale and retail.
At the event, various initiatives were inked that dealt with a variety of topics, including biotechnology, new energy, and cultural development.
Zhou added that currently the development of services outsourcing in sectors like finance and biotechnology relies heavily on technical innovation, which will also promote development of relevant industries.
Efforts will be made to cultivate new growth engines such as next-generation information technology, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, new energy, new materials, high-end equipment and green industry, the report said.
