These funds will guide SOEs, social capital, private companies and other entities to jointly participate in businesses related to high-end technologies and key projects across the country, as well as build a business community with stakeholders from various backgrounds, said Liu Xingguo, a researcher at the China Enterprise Confederation in Beijing.

The China International Import Expo will strengthen cooperation with the Italian Confederation of Craft Trades and Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises during the fourth expo in November, according to Chinese and Italian authorities.

We expect further collaborations with the confederation," Li said.

Roberta Datteri, vice president of the confederation, said the confederation will join hands with Shanghai-based Insider International, a company dedicated to business cooperation and trade between the two countries, to support Italian firms to attend the expo, especially those entering the Chinese market for the first time.

"In the face of changes unseen in a century, further intensified by the pandemic, it is particularly important to achieve major progress in reform, so that the SOEs can increase their vitality and efficiency and drive broader development of various enterprises," said Liu Xingguo, a researcher with the China Enterprise Confederation.

Liu Xingguo, a researcher at the China Enterprise Confederation, said enlarging procurement and service activities in foreign countries can help Chinese companies win local support and provide timely maintenance services, as well as access more markets in other parts of the world.

- The growth of China's economy is important for Danish companies, said Allen Sorensen, chief economist at the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI).

China should explore new ways of achieving growth, to take advantage of data as a key element that can expand domestic demand," said Zhu Hongren, executive vice-chairman of the China Enterprise Confederation.

Liu Xingguo, a researcher at the China Enterprise Confederation in Beijing, said the government will continue to accelerate the layout of new industries, such as 5G and "new infrastructure", to further expand the growth space for SOEs.

At a time when the country is faced with mounting uncertainties abroad, China's big companies have stood up against the challenges and responded actively with structural upgrades, said Wang Zhongyu, head of the China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association, which compiled the list.

The transnational index of the country's top 100 multinationals, an index measuring the global operation of firms based on their overseas assets, revenues and employees, rose for a sixth consecutive year to 16.1 percent, up 0.14 percentage points from a year ago, according to the confederation and association.

The combined revenues of China's top 500 firms account for some 88 percent of the combined revenues of the Fortune 500 companies of the large corporations in the United States, the confederation and association noted.

The confederation and association also released a list of the country's top 500 service firms, which saw combined profits of these companies rising 11.71 percent year on year, 8.26 percentage points faster than a year earlier.

Zhu Hongren, former chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Party secretary of the China Enterprise Confederation, said: "The new generation of information technology has given birth to new formats and models such as digital management, platform-based design, intelligent production and collaboration.

"Chee Fai Tan, president of ASEAN Smart Industry Confederation, said that the robot can carry out high-precision work while simultaneously improving productivity.

"These moves will push for further reform of the SOEs to improve their export volume, core competitiveness and functions this year," said Liu Xingguo, a researcher at the Beijing-based China Enterprise Confederation.

Driven by its growth demand, China has quickened the pace of conducting professional integration among its SOEs, said Liu Xingguo, a researcher at the China Enterprise Confederation in Beijing.

According to Erhard Buchel, president of the Confederation of the European Bicycle Industry, European imports of bikes, electric bikes and parts from China amounted to 1 billion euros ($1.19 billion) in 2016, increased to 1.5 billion euros in 2019, and are expected to near 2 billion euros in 2020.

China's top 500 companies in the advanced manufacturing sector have shown significantly increasing sales revenues and net profit growth last year, and more companies are engaged in middle-and high-end equipment manufacturing, according to a recent report of the China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association.

Surveys of businesses by the Confederation of British Industry and Lloyds Bank also gave a sobering outlook for the world's fifth-largest economy.

Liu Xingguo, a senior researcher from the China Enterprise Confederation, said that the undergoing industrial upgrading of SOEs combined with their improved market value management will stabilize companies' share prices, which is conducive to the overall stability of the capital market.

For accounting firms that are registered in the Swiss Confederation or the People's Republic of China and issue audits on the financial statements of economic entities, the auditing supervision systems in the two countries are equivalently applicable, according to the announcement.

The system also can force financial institutions to prudently develop the personal credit consumption business, which will help to improve the credit security of financial institutions and help avoid excessively stimulating consumer advance spending, said Liu Xingguo, a researcher at the China Enterprise Confederation.
