In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
起初，神创造了天地。
The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
地是空虚混沌，渊面黑暗。
And God said, 'Let there be light'; and there was light.
神说：“要有光”，就有了光。
God made two great lights: the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night.
神造了两个大光，大的管日，小的管夜。
And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.
神看万物，都甚好。
And out of the ground the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
耶和华用地上的尘土造人，将生气吹在他的鼻孔里，他就成了有灵的活人。
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it.'" (神赐福给他们，对他们说：“要生养众多，遍满地面，治理这地。”
And God saw every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
神看见地上一切的活物，各样的飞鸟，就把他们带到亚当面前，看他叫什么。
And God said, 'Behold, I give you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.'" (神说：“看哪，我将遍地上一切结种子的菜蔬，和树上所结有果子的树，全赐给你们作食物。”
So God blessed them, and God said to them, 'Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves on the earth.'" (神就赐福给他们，对他们说：“要生养众多，遍满地面，管理海里的鱼、空中的鸟和地上各样行动的活物。”
