Waigaoqiao Bonded Area, located in eastern Shanghai, is the first import demonstration zone of its kind, while Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District, which is adjacent to the venue of the China International Import Expo annual pageant, is another synchronized demonstration zone set to extend the spillover effect of the Expo, Shen said.

The IBLAC forum, an annual pageant that has served as a conduit for communication between international business and Shanghai's mayors since 1989, was held for the 34th time this year.

Over 500 exhibitors joined the annual gaming industry pageant this year, including Tencent, Huawei, Perfect World, Qualcomm, Sony and China Mobile.

Compiled by the China Audio-Video and Digital Publishing Association, the report serves as a prelude to the 2020 China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference, a gaming pageant better known as China Joy, that will start in Shanghai on Friday.

The four-day gaming pageant, which started on Friday, has attracted more than 300 leading game and digital entertainment companies from home and abroad.
