An important pilot project under the global sustainable development strategy of BI, which plans to have all its operations attain carbon neutrality by 2030, the Zhangjiang plant achieved peaked carbon emissions in 2014 and has since been pursuing carbon neutrality through energy-saving projects, through a switch to green energy and partnering with internationally verified carbon offsetting organizations, according to Yin Xuelin, general manager of Boehringer Ingelheim Shanghai Pharmaceutical Co. After years of efforts, the plant's carbon emissions in 2021 went to nearly zero, cutting more than 12,000 tons－an equivalent of carbon absorbed by 45,000 trees per year－from the peak in 2014, while its energy efficiency had improved by more than 77 percent, Yin said.

"Apart from Mary Kay's investment moves directly supporting the poverty alleviation efforts in China, what matters more is that the company always focuses on, also is good at, having female roles under the spotlight in every business, which has offered more solutions for many issues in the society," Yin added.
Leung Chiu Yin, chairman and president of Galanz, said despite the impact of the epidemic on the consumer goods sector, the company's orders have increased.
Yin Ye, CEO of BGI, said the CE-IVD Marking allows sales of the detection kits in both the European Economic Area (known as the EEA), and the countries outside of the EEA that have not signed the Mutual Recognition Arrangement but recognize the CE-IVD approval.
Yin Jiangbo had to chart a new plan for the year with a long-term vision while setting aside for now the losses his firm recently suffered.

"Rents and labor costs are taken into serious concern after suspending on-site dining service," Yin said, adding the company's loss was estimated to reach more than 30 million yuan ($4.32 million) since the Spring Festival holiday, which began on Jan 25.
To offset part of its business losses, Taotaoju had to open some takeout service counters and Yin searched for bank loans to pay rents and wages for the firm's employees.
Yin's company has become the first batch of catering businesses to resume on-site operations since the local government issued a guideline to gradually reopen on-site dinning services in the city's downtown areas on Feb 20.
It is an important signal for consumers to boost confidence by going out to dine," Yin added.
Following Yin's company, a growing number of catering companies in Guangzhou have also resumed on-site dining services.
"The integration between manufacturing industry and finance will set a new model of overseas development (for Chinese companies)," said Yin Jingbo, an associate professor with Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
The development of manufacturing requires consistent capital, while the integration of industry and finance could create more value in supporting the industry, said Yin.
Being an industrial player, XCMG's thorough understanding of the industry will enable it to provide more tailor-made financial products and services," said Yin.
Megvii was founded in 2011 by Chief Executive Yin Qi and two friends from Tsinghua University.

Mobile payment was already a trend in Finland before the arrival of Alipay, but Yin said Alipay's innovation has accelerated expansion of the payment process.
