KUALA LUMPUR -- Huawei on Tuesday announced the arrival of Huawei Pay in Malaysia in partnership with UnionPay International and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).

Huawei said in a statement that payments are now made easier and more secure in Malaysia by simply adding one's bank cards to Huawei Pay, a mobile payment tool that provides contactless, cashless payment service for Huawei smartphone users.

According to the statement, ICBC (Malaysia) Bhd is the first financial institution in Malaysia to support Huawei Pay.

Via the partnership, ICBC UnionPay credit card holders will be among the first in Malaysia to experience this payment method on their Huawei smartphones.

With improved technology and supportive services, Yi said the company's TBMs have become popular in markets related to the Belt and Road Initiative and CRHIC has so far exported the machines to 21 countries and regions involved in the initiative, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Italy, France, Poland and Australia.

Based in Zhejiang province, Best had completed building service networks in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia and Singapore in July, to introduce China's mature logistics operational modes.

By leveraging its asset-light model and experience in Thailand and Vietnam, Best plans to operate 12 sorting centers and around 400 service stations across Malaysia, Cambodia and Singapore over the next three years.

It has also been giving priority to increasing production at its plant in Kuching, Malaysia, to supply clients in China and other parts of the world to offset losses caused by domestic interruptions to production and transportation.

It plans to expand its operations in Malaysia with the construction of a plant to manufacture monocrystalline cells.

KUALA LUMPUR -- Bank of China Malaysia (BOCM) signed an agreement with the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) on Wednesday to cooperate on the third China International Import Expo (CIIE) to be held in November.

At the forthcoming CIIE, the BOCM and ACCCIM will join force to promote economic and trade exchanges between China and Malaysia through the Internet and other technologies means.

President of ACCCIM Ter Leong Yip said the upcoming CIIE would provide opportunity for Malaysia's enterprises to enter China.

He also expects that Malaysia companies can achieve fruitful results with the help of the cooperation with Bank of China at the upcoming expo.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, YTO's cargo fleet has carried a number of flights for Cainiao to destinations which include Malaysia and Pakistan.
