As countries worldwide are at different stages of recovery from the pandemic, and the situation varies from one to another, Rolls-Royce said it is staying flexible and taking measures to adapt to the change.
Rolls-Royce and General Electric Co are in the bidding process to become the engine supplier for the new jet.
Currently, Rolls-Royce accounts for about 45 percent of the global engine market for wide-body aircraft, followed by General Electric and United Technologies Corp's Pratt& Whitney division.
Separately, Rolls-Royce said it has a variety of applications ranging from marine, rail, oil and gas to mining, construction and power generation.
A number of data centers operated by major Chinese technology companies such as Tencent, Alibaba, and Baidu, the telecom industry and financial institutions are equipped with MTU power solutions of Rolls-Royce.
"Rolls-Royce enjoys a big reputation for its aero engines and its other products are less known.
Rolls-Royce needs to actively explore the market, and it requires some time to establish better popularity and recognition for those products," Yu said.
"Aero engine makers General Electric Aviation of the United States and Rolls-Royce Holdings Plc of the United Kingdom, among others, are in the bidding process, and we will announce the result at a later stage," Yang Yang, deputy general manager of marketing and sales at COMAC, said at the ongoing Aviation Expo China in Beijing on Wednesday.
The biennial event is a gathering of all major global aviation players, such as Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell, Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney and Safran etc.

British industrial conglomerate Rolls-Royce broke ground on its Beijing Aero Engine Services Co Ltd (BAESL) in Beijing on Thursday — its 50/50 joint venture maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility established with Air China — as the company is bullish on the growing demand for after-services of jet engines in China.
The facility has become Rolls-Royce's largest investment on the Chinese mainland and one of the largest globally in recent years.
When it reaches full capacity, the facility will employ 800 workers, mainly recruited and trained locally, to deliver MRO services on the Rolls-Royce Trent 700, Trent XWB-84 and Trent 1000 aero engines, which are mainly installed on widebody aircraft such as the Airbus A330 and A350.
Covering an area of more than 80,000 square meters, the facility serves as the first Rolls-Royce MRO joint venture on the Chinese mainland, and the fourth in its global MRO network.
"About 20 percent of our global Trent engines have been delivered to China, and after-service in the country will grow slightly faster than the global average," said Rob Watson, president of civil aerospace at Rolls-Royce.
Entering the Chinese market in 1963, Rolls-Royce now operates five joint ventures in China including BAESL.
Located in Beijing, the new facility supports Rolls-Royce's sustainability goals by reducing the overseas transportation of engines for MRO services.
This year, the flying hours of Rolls-Royce engines globally have recovered to 85 percent of pre-pandemic levels.
As engine flying hours grow, it will drive demand for after-services, Rolls-Royce said.
